It is interesting to see how far you can push the misspelling of a word until people can no longer recognize it.

DeleteI got every word except "artuont". "Truant", maybe?
ReplyDeleteBack in my teaching days, I got a lot of papers and exams that looked not unlike this. The fruits of spell-check, don't you know. I got pretty good at this sort of thing.
And once I made a rookie mistake and asked a test question whose answer was "epiphenomenalism". The array of spectacular misspellings I received became a department legend.
Possibly "Arn't" or "Aron" or "Around" or "A rant" or "Errand" or "Art won't" or "A runt" or maybe even "A taunt".
DeleteI can only imagine...
DeleteThen again, it just occurred to me that it's unclear how a homeschooler would play truant. Maybe by spending the day in a classroom?
