Today I got up somewhat early, then traveled to somewhere else. After that, O'l Mom made me go shopping with her and I then headed back home, where I delayed until later. I then walked to the post office and back, and continued to dilly-dally until bed-time.
"Idle" is another near-synonym of the proscribed word that you might use. "Lounge" might be another. Just trying to help.
